Joel Young, Founder & Advisory Council Chair

Joel has been involved with entrepreneurship in Canada & U.S.A. for more than 24 years, originating both national and provincial entrepreneurship initiatives and associated with the Kauffman Entrepreneurship Foundation and Consortium for Entrepreneurship Education in the U.S. He has lectured at the university and community college level and produced two entrepreneurship television series along with nine years as an entrepreneurship columnist.

Alexandra Krieger, Chairperson & President

Alexandra is an entrepreneur by heart. She owns Print Three, a digital printing company; is working with Inside Out Leadership Development Group and owns her own training company, which holds holds regular workshops on marketing, sales and presentation skills for business owners, employees and entrepreneurs. Alexandra is passionate about helping people to be the best they can be and guiding entrepreneurs to realize their dreams.

Christine Page, Vice Chair Business Development

Christine has been an active entrepreneur for over 25 years. Most of her ventures have taken her worldwide, promoting and marketing her businesses to the international market. She is currently the Founder of Okanagan Relocation Services which has been instrumental in helping families and business professionals relocate from overseas. With a successful track record and knowledge in business operations, she is always eager to assist those who are on their entrepreneurial journey.

Rae Stonehouse, Vice Chair Education

Rae is a Registered Nurse/Entrepreneur who has worked in the healthcare industry for over thirty years. His business, Live For Excellence Productions, provides meeting, seminar, workshop & event planning for the Okanagan Valley. Very active within the Toastmasters organization Rae has taken on increasingly challenging leadership roles in entrepreneurial educational and mentoring programs. His passion is helping others to succeed.

Doug Derkatch, Vice Chair Finance

Doug has been involved in entrepreneurial ventures for over 20 years, primarily in start-up companies. Having successfully built and operated businesses in wireless telecom, management consulting and Internet media marketing, he founded Mode Marketing Systems, a provider of sales and marketing solutions primarily for real estate developments across Western Canada, and is a co-founder of an international consulting firm involved in promoting Waste-to-Energy technologies.

Leesa Beeson, Vice Chair Marketing

Leesa is a publicity specialist, marketing contractor and event producer. Her company, Premiere Publicity and Production, also specializes in promotion, public & media relations and event production for both local-area and national businesses and acts as a publicist for brand identities with performing artists and media personalities. She is also an active member of Canadian Women in Communications and a frequent public speaker in the Kelowna area.

Owen Davies, Vice Chair Membership

While Owen is the youngest member of the Board by far, his enthusiasm and passion for entrepreneurial ideals is second to none. From his involvement as Secretary of the Jaycees to his professional life as a Financial Strategist helping middle class families to win the money game, Owen is a true entrepreneur. He ambitiously desires to bring people, businesses and opportunities together so that everyone can win.

Cory Anthony, Vice Chair Sponsorship

Growing up in the Okanagan, Cory has engrossed himself in many entrepreneurial ventures since he was a young adult. After many top sales positions throughout Canada and the USA, Cory launched his own home-based business with Max International, a health and wellness company in the North American direct sales market.
