Celebration For Faster Product Development

It’s great when there are external factors – such as management or customer service – that keep you motivated. However, when external factors are not present, you must generate their own motivation.

Research by its nature has its ups and downs. When you participate in a research project over the long term, it is easy to be times when your motivation will remain. And you can always trust your team leader, supervisor, or others to stay motivated. Therefore, it is important to create your own celebration of points along the way. These celebrations should not be large – a dozen donuts for your small group or large enough biscuit cake – just make sure to explain why it is celebrated

Please note when you have a reason to celebrate and then find a way to celebrate early. This can help you stay motivated as you move through the project. It can also help you to encourage others – even if for no other reason they would like another donut, no!

When you start to build a series of celebrations, which will be a good reminder to yourself that are making progress. This is particularly useful in these days when the forward movement seems to be stuck in the project – or maybe the project feels like it is stuck in reverse! Take responsibility for maintaining a high motivation.

Which team needs a development project is a constant reminder that progress is being made.

Back to products in the world, the road to commercial success is littered with obstacles that must be traveled. As we celebrate the successful navigation of each of these obstacles, the team has a better perspective on the project – in recognition of both the work that remains and the progress that has been done. Each of these celebrations is a reminder to the team if they were able to overcome these barriers, but also a willingness to find a way around those in front of them.
